Have you heard any Okinawan folk rock? About time you did. Check out this chirpy ditty circa 1972 from Shoukichi Kina – it’s cheered me up various times for the last 2 years, although I have no idea what he’s singing about. I think it’s about some kind of uncle. Any Japanese person care to explain?
