Thank god for Bank Holidays as that means I can work on my album! It’s gonna be wicked! Will post a sneak preview come May… I’ve learnt a lot at the studio, and also been forming a shopping/download list in my head:
- MacBook pro
- Logic (I’ve been using Reaper; it’s not bad, but it looks like Logic is more powerful)
- Oxygen 49
- a good condenser mic for my strange voice – someone suggested a ‘nice valve LDC’. What does that mean?
- a bunch of plugins/VSTs from Spectrasonic, Kontakt and other loopy stuff.
Yes, it is a bit grim to be in the studio singing ‘I want more sun’ on such a nice sunny weekend – but thankfully the Strongroom has a lovely courtyard to hang out in and soak up the glorious rays…
