I want more sun in the Wilderness…

Wilderness Festival rocked big-time. Massages (giving and taking), doing the Macarena while being papped, masked balls, singing for mead, dancing for pie, dancing to Russian classical music at a midnight life painting class, ostrich burgers in a coconut hat, lazing by the lake, hot tub by the sauna, killing wasps with bare hands.

I did some shouty singing too – it interrupted a play across the field. Here I am singing my sun-and-travel-worship song called I Want More Sun with fellow festies at the Mindapples tent. A short 44 sec clip – you get the idea.

Mindapples is a non-profit organization that promotes good mental health and wellbeing. We were there to get people to write down, on apple-shaped cards that they then hang up on our magic tree, 5 things they do to chill out everyday. They range from sleeping to staring at pentagons.

I’ve been to Glastonbury, Homelands and Reading but Wilderness takes the cake for me! So what is your favourite festival experience?

Gracefully flitting, drink in hand, to Arensky. Naked Jewish dude on stage a bonus.
